Life Coaches for Kids® is a mentoring program similar in nature to other well known mentoring programs, however it comes from a faith-based perspective. Life Coaches is committed to helping children from single parent families by linking them with caring Christian mentors. Through this program, children are paired with adults who have a heart for helping children through difficult periods of their lives..

Loganville Community Ministry Village was chosen by Life Coaches for Kids® to be one of three pilot programs to introduce Life Coaches outside of it’s city of origin, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Life Coaches for Kids® is fun and rewarding.  With weekly contact, mentoring matches share everyday life activities such as going to a ball game, bike riding, or just ‘hanging out’.  We know from studies of secular programs that mentoring can have a life changing impact in youth in several important areas: school, self-esteem and relationships in the home.  Mentored youth do better in the areas that are most significant in their development. Christian mentoring has the added benefit of offering the opportunity of spiritual growth, which comes as a simple and natural result of Christians investing their lives in the life of a needy child.

Just as a doctor sets a broken bone, so God sets the broken hearts of children.   Mentoring is simply building a friendship.  You need not be a preacher, counselor or professional of any kind, just a faithful friend to a child in need.
